Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Crash Test: 2005 Audi A4 Few changes accompany the Audi A4 into 2005, since a redesigned 2006 model is arriving soon. In an effort to generate interest in the outgoing design, Audi introduces the A4 Special Edition, available on sedans and wagons with either the 1.8L turbo four or 3.0L V6 engines. The Special Edition includes the content of the Premium package plus a rear spoiler and snazzy 17-inch alloy wheels. Another new mid-year model is the S-line, which comes equipped with a sport suspension and meaty 18-inch wheels with performance tires. Also for 2005, the Audi A4 gets bi-xenon headlights, and a new antenna for the satellite radio, AM/FM bands, and navigation GPS unit is added. The blue interior color has been dropped, along with OnStar telematics and the triangle warning signal in the trunk.
