Toyota Raize has been revealed in Japan
Toyota Raize is cross-badged version of the Daihatsu Rocky, both based on the DNGA platform
Toyota Raize looks like a good challenger to the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport & Mahindra XUV300
Toyota will launch a cross-badged version of the updated Vitara Brezza instead. Toyota Raize, Toyota Rush & Toyota C-HR, unlikely for India.

Toyota has just unveiled their sub-compact SUV, the Raize. The Toyota Raize is based on the DNGA platform that it shares with the Daihatsu Rocky. The Raize gets features like a digital instrument cluster, 9-inch touchscreen, LED headlights, dynamic turn indicators and more. It comes powered by a 1.0 litre turbo-petrol engine good for 98PS of power and 140Nm of torque. The Raize only gets a CVT and is available with both front-wheel drive & all wheel drive.

While many expected the Raize to be introduced in India, Toyota India has denied the launch possibility. Instead, it will introduce a cross-badged version of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, which is due for an update itself.
